TME Pharma has extended the maturity of its outstanding debt from May 2027 to 30 June 2028. The company said all existing debt holders agreed to the extension, including its chief executive and two supervisory-board members.
The arrangements also include repayment of €760,000 to certain bondholders, a new €250,000 straight bond provided by the chief executive and €500,000 of bond financing from Hexagon Capital Fund. The latter is to be repaid through cash amortisations.
TME said the transactions extend financial visibility into the second quarter of 2028. That remains a company assessment based on its operating plans and assumptions.
The immediate benefit is a longer period before major maturities fall due. Investors should nevertheless distinguish extending debt from generating unrestricted new equity capital. Repayment obligations remain, and some cash has been returned to creditors. The refinancing buys time to pursue development and strategic milestones; those milestones ultimately need to improve the underlying business's financing prospects.
