Arvinas has announced upcoming presentations of biomarker and oculomotor data from its Phase I study of ARV-102 in Parkinson's disease, scheduled for the International Congress of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders in Seoul from 4 to 8 October.
ARV-102 is an investigational oral protein degrader designed to cross the blood-brain barrier and target LRRK2. The 1 October announcement establishes the presentation schedule; it does not provide the new results themselves.
The programme tests whether targeted protein degradation can be applied to a neurological disease through an orally administered medicine. Early measurements of biological activity could help determine whether that approach warrants further clinical investment.
The interpretation will depend on what is measured. Evidence of target engagement or a biomarker change is different from evidence that treatment slows disability. A small early-stage study can inform dose selection and further trial design without settling those clinical questions. The forthcoming disclosure should therefore be assessed as a development decision point, with expectations matched to its Phase I setting.
